The Reader's Choice Awards are held annually in the Fort Bend Sun. The awards are executed by a "write-in" vote, so voters are not provided with nominees to choose from. This allows for a broader range of public opinion and a more accurate Fort Bend favorite.
"The fact that the judging process requires people to thoughtfully consider their nominee, not just pick from a list, makes winning this honor even more gratifying," said Lisa Clark, vice president of Ryko Development.
Ryko Development feels privileged to once again be Fort Bend Reader's Choice. Over the years, Ryko has earned a reputation as a top-notch developer, and it has often won praise for its dedication to quality and its contribution to the growth and beauty of West Houston.
In 2006, Ryko was named Greater Houston's "Developer of the Year" by the Greater Houston Builders Association.
"Winning 'Developer of the Year' was a real honor, because the judges were our industry peers—experts and specialists who understand the intricacies of the development process," said Clark.
"Winning this Reader's Choice Award is equally special, but for different reasons," Clark added. "Here, the 'judges' are our homeowners and neighbors, the people who live in and around our community. Creating a place that touches their lives in a positive way will always be the greatest measure of our success."
