BEECHTREE CONTINUES TO UNVEIL NEW ATTRACTIONS

UPPER MARLBORO, MD—8/19/08

Having a new feature or two would be exciting for any well established community to tout, but Beechtree, the Washington region’s most prestigious lake and golf course community, in Upper Marlboro, MD, has been unveiling new features and attractions all year long.

Two of the most exciting additions to the Beechtree community are Lake Presidential Championship Golf Course and its lakefront Golf Clubhouse.

Since opening for play on May 1, 2008, Lake Presidential has emerged as one of the finest daily-fee golf courses in the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. The course was developed by Landmark Land, a company renowned for creating world-class golf courses including Kiawah Island Ocean Course (host of the 1991 PGA Ryder Cup), Oak Tree Golf Club (host of the 1998 PGA Championship), and Doonbeg Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland.

In addition to the scenic course, golfers and Beechtree homeowners are now enjoying the Golf Course Clubhouse. The 11,000 square foot facility boasts a restaurant with full bar, a conference room, a closed-door dining room, and stunning views of Beechtree’s 30-acre lake. A full-time Event Coordinator is on site at the Golf Course Clubhouse to assist with any event, from a casual outing to a formal banquet or an extravagant wedding reception.

“When people come to Beechtree and play Lake Presidential or have lunch in the Clubhouse, they literally feel like they belong to a country club,” said Nathan Presnal, Lake Presidential’s Head Golf Professional. “The quality level is so high, we’re constantly having to inform people that it’s not a private facility and they don’t have to pay annual dues to belong. They’re definitely pleasantly surprised.”

Those searching for real estate in Upper Marlboro may be pleasantly surprised to learn that Beechtree recently broadened its home offerings with the introduction of the new “Villa Home” designs. These attached homes boast as much living space as single family homes but with less upkeep and maintenance.

Beechtree’s impressive array of new homes for sale now includes Executive Single Family Homes, Classic Single Family Homes, Villa Homes and Grand Townhomes. Eight decorated models are currently open, including brand new models in Northlake and Southlake.

The community of Beechtree is situated right off Route 301, about 10 minutes from the Beltway and 30 minutes from the Nation’s Capital. Over 600 of its 1,200 acres are dedicated to the golf course, a 30-acre lake, mature woodlands, open space, and other amenities, including the Beechtree Swim & Racquet Club, which will overlook the golf course and lake. Upon its completion, Beechtree will be home to over $30 million worth of amenities.

BEECHTREE’S LAKE PRESIDENTIAL
GOLF COURSE AND CLUBHOUSE TO OPEN ON MAY 1st

May 1, 2008 marks the official grand opening of Lake Presidential, the 18-hole championship golf course that winds its way throughout the best-selling lake and golf course community in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Beechtree’s residents have been eagerly awaiting this grand opening, and they certainly aren’t alone.  “The course is going to open at a really good level, and we expect to do almost 4,000 rounds in May,” said Nathan Presnal, Lake Presidential’s Head Golf Professional.

In August, it will host the MAPGA Senior/Quarter Century Championship, and in May of 2009 it will host the qualifier for the Maryland State Open.  The fact that Beechtree will begin hosting golf tournaments and events as early as this summer speaks to the readiness and quality of the course.  “It’s going to have a mature feel right out of the gate,” noted Presnal.  “If you look at our trees they’re already 60 to 120-feet tall.”

The course was developed by Landmark Land, a developer renowned for creating world famous golf courses, including Kiawah Island Ocean Course (host of the 1991 PGA Ryder Cup), Oak Tree Golf Club (host of the 1998 PGA Championship), and Doonbeg Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland.

“We knew the very first time we walked the land that this course was going to be special,” said Aref Hinedi, Vice President of Marketing with Ryko Development, the developer of Beechtree. “With the lake, the rolling topography and, of course, the acres of mature trees, Beechtree is a dream setting for a PGA-quality golf course.”

Lake Presidential’s golf clubhouse will officially open its doors on May 1, as well.  “The Clubhouse is approximately 11,000 square feet, which is a really good size for a public, daily-fee facility,” added Presnal.  “It’s also going to offer amenities not usually associated with public facilities, such as a restaurant with full bar, conference room, and closed-door dining room where you could entertain clients after a round of golf.  It gives the feel of a private club experience without having to pay dues.”

Everyone from scratch golfers to those just starting out will appreciate the fact that Lake Presidential will have three PGA Professionals on staff from day one.  “Having PGA members and proven, certified instructors here further speaks to our commitment to quality,” said Presnal.

BEECHTREE HOMEOWNERS STAR IN NEW RADIO COMMERCIALS.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD—7/25/07

Beechtree, the Washington region’s most prestigious lake and golf course community located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, recently launched a new radio advertising campaign.

What makes this campaign unique is that the stars of the sixty-second radio commercials aren’t professional actors or pitchmen.  Rather, they are actual Beechtree homeowners.

“We figured that no one is more qualified to speak about what it’s like to live a Beechtree than the people who come home to it everyday,” said Aref Hinedi, Vice President of Marketing with Ryko Development.  “So we met with some homeowners, recorded their thoughts and opinions, then created a series of radio spots that tell the Beechtree story in their own words.”

The radio spots will run for the next four months on Smooth Jazz 105.9 WJZW.  In addition, excerpts from the homeowner interviews may be heard on BeechtreeMD.com

“Beechtree’s $30 million amenity package speaks for itself,” added Hinedi, “But it’s nice to hear homeowners share their thoughts on what makes the community special.  One  couple we spoke with takes their young son on picnics in different spots throughout the community.  One of the features they love most is Beechtree’s abundance of mature trees and park-like setting.”

Sure to be another favorite feature among homeowners is Beechtree’s 18-hole championship golf course, which winds throughout the community and is now well under construction.

Beechtree’s golf course is being constructed by Landmark Land, a world-renowned golf course developer selected by Ryko Development because of its reputation for creating PGA-quality golf courses.

Other signature amenities include a 30-acre stream valley lake, the last of its kind in Prince Georges County, miles of walking and biking trails, and a 2-story Swim and Racquet Club that will overlook the lake and golf course.

Beechtree is located off Route 301 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, just 10 minutes from the beltway and 30 minutes to downtown Washington.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD—11/14/06

On Saturday, October 28th Beechtree showed that it is more than the Washington region’s most prestigious new community.  It knows how to have fun.

Just ask the kids who had their faces painted, learned to walk on stilts or snacked on classic carnival delicacies like funnel cake, nachos and cotton candy.

Beechtree Fall Fest transformed the community into a carnival of music, food and fun for current homeowners and guests from all over Prince George’s County.  The celebration featured jugglers, mimes, magicians, games and activities, and WHUR radio personality, Jeff Brown, helped emcee the festivities.

Judging by the hundreds of smiling faces, Beechtree Fall Fest was a hit.

“Fall Fest succeeded on many levels,” stated Aref Hinedi, Vice President of Marketing with Ryko Development, Inc.  “It allowed us to thank our current homeowners for helping to make Beechtree such a special, family-friendly community.  It also gave prospective homeowners a chance to meet with our builders and get a glimpse of Beechtree’s spectacular amenities.
