You couldn’t pick a better region than right here, next to the nation’s capital, to celebrate the 4th of July. It’s hard to experience a more patriotic Independence Day celebration than one surrounded by landmarks like the Washington Monument, big fireworks displays and countless memorials dedicated to our founding fathers and nation’s heroes.
The only problem is that a lot of other people have the same idea. People from all across the nation flock to D.C. to take part in the celebration. Plus, with Independence Day falling on a weekday, it might not be convenient to have a late night out in the District if you have to head into work the next day.
With numerous world-class fireworks displays and 4th of July celebrations scheduled throughout the week right here in Prince George’s County, why not stay closer to home?
