Now that sunshine and warmer weather have returned to the D.C. region, events and activities are ramping up along the waterfront at National Harbor. There are some fantastic opportunities to get out and enjoy this one-of-a-kind destination — located just a short drive from BeechTree —  throughout the month of May.

National Food and Wine Festival
May 4 & 5  | 12pm to 6pm

Bring your appetite and join in on the excitement of the 11th annual National Food and Wine Festival at National Harbor, held on right on the waterfront. Sip your way through over 150 wine, beer and spirits options and savor delicious eats from dozens of food vendors. Join in on the Sunday Gospel Brunch, or grab a VIP ticket for exclusive access to VIP restaurants.

Salute the Sunset Concert Series Presents: The Navy Sea Chanters
May 18 | 7pm to 8pm

Featuring music from one of the nation’s most prestigious military bands, head to the Plaza Stage for a free sunset show that’s sure to stir your heart. The Sea Chanters is the U.S. Navy’s official chorus. Their performance will range from traditional choral music, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare, to opera, Broadway, and contemporary music.

Bobby McKey’s Boozy Brunch
May 12 | 12:30pm to 3:30pm

National Harbor’s acclaimed Bobby Mckey’s Dueling Piano Bar is introducing a daytime brunch event that’s certain to be a hit. Enjoy a unique, all-request, live Rock n’ Roll show and brunch buffet featuring chicken & waffles, eggs, mac n’ cheese, bloody mary’s, bottomless mimosas and much more.

Tickets are priced at $30 and all guests must be 21 or older.

Family Movie Night on the Potomac: The Lego Batman Movie
May 27  | 6pm to 8pm

Nothing says summer fun like an evening on the waterfront. Bring the family, chairs and snacks and meet under the Plaza’s big screen for a free evening of fun for all ages. Who doesn’t love Lego Batman?
